I can't believe this description of dwarf puffers at AZ Gardens
http://azgardens.com/misc_fish.php

I posted this over at dwarfpuffers.com a while back, but realized I forgot to do it here.

"Irresponsible" is all I can say. I may be an "internet know-it-all" but at least my fish aren't going to die of puffer wounds.

I have copied this thread from General FW.

Remember, these are a schooling fish. KEEP THEM IN GROUPS, BIG GROUPS! Perhaps the people that have had aggressive dwarf puffers kept them secluded without any buddies, or maybe they had only a pair, where they were only defending themselves or their eggs. Other instances of fin-nipping might occur due to improper water parameters, lack of territorial borders, or a lack of quantity!! .... They won't harm your Amano shrimp because their mouths are just too tiny.

Uh, I beg to differ!

I will never again deal with "AZ Gardens". Years ago I called in an order and was promised "quality" fish and shrimp. A few SAE's made it alive, the rest were DOA (dead on arrival). The shrimp were so dead it looked like they were steamed with Old Bay seasoning!

I lost a good chunk of money. No need to elaborate on this, but be cautious if you order from them.

(maybe by some chance they figured out how to ship "live" products..)

hehe go ahead and keep them in big groups... you'll have a big group for a long time, but you wont see any of them. they'll all have taken the porcelain express in a big group. they might just be "sleeping" in your septic tank!
