is it ok to give your fish crushed cheerios as a treat? i was looking at a fish food recipe site and one of the fish treat recipes was just crushed cheerios. it didnt say what kind of fish it was for. is it ok for all fish, or even ok at all?
I would think they should be fine. I've put worse things in my tanks. It's all natural and probably would be good for them. I was going to see if my oscars would eat some but I only have cinnimon apple.
I would think that abetter treat for most fish would be some freeze dried brine shrimp or even frozen brine shrimp or blood worms. My fish love them as a treat once a week or so. Cheerios have enriched grains which I don't know how they would interact with a fish's digestive system.
yeah i read in koiworld that you could feed your koi cereal. it also said chopped fruits. i dont have any koi at the moment but im curious as to what kinds of fruit...
ok well i went out to feed the pond fish (comets) and happened to be eating a banana. i dropped a piece in out of curiosity and they all fought over it! i dropped a few more in and they get very excited. please tell me banans are ok to feed fish!
one piece did go unnoticed and dropped between some rocks. i doubt thats a good thing. i remember one time i left a piece of banana in my turtle tank by accident and it fouled all the water very quickly.
