Chemi Pure

I have had people say that they loved it (when I worked at a lfs) but never used it myself till the other day. Is it a bunch of activated carbon mixed with other stuff? So far I have to complain I rinsed that crap for like 5 minitues to get it clean! ut says to mix lightly, but then the black would leak into the tank.
Anyways, any sucess with this stuff? How often fo you use it?

i rinse it once a month, replace it every 5 months. works great for me. u can never get the black to rinse out...u just want clean it a bit and then add it in. it has never turned my water colors at all...it des the reverse...keeps it crystal clear.

how much do u rinse it when u first put it in. like u were saying u can never get the black out. u piut it in the tank when it had black dripping from the bag?

it is an activated carbon huh?

yes i still put it in when dripping...the label says rinse lightly...so thats what i did. and its a resin with carbon.

I use it in my freshwater tank. Bought more for my one marine tank but am still unsure whether to use it or not. Though I've never heard one bad thing about Chemi-pure.

Ive recently changed over to purigen i find its much beter but alot more exspensive....
