Cherry Barb vs Checker Barb?

Hello everybody,
I was wondering which kind of barb you prefer: cherry or checker barbs? What were your experiences with them and what advice would you have to offer about them?

Prefer Checkered over Cherrys but maybe bit more difficult to find healthy batch of Checkered than Cherrys as Checkered seemed bit more sensitive to deteriorating water quality during shipping.

i have yet to see them being sold at a lfs

I prefer the checker. The cherry barb, to me, looks like a tetra.

I love my cherry barbs, the males look nothing like a tetra in full colors, and they even pick at algae.. so nice.
