China town?!?!?!

:idea2: Stupid question but i was just wondering if neone here had ever brought any fish from china town...being as many fish stores as there is i am wondering if the low price is worth it...Last store i went to had parrots for 3.00 and a 7 inch arowana for 30.00, i was just wondering if anyone thinks the low price is worth it... i know people who have had fish from down there that have lived for up to ten years :thud: Ok now that i have wasted a minute of your time, a reply would be very useful

Too much of a drive for me.

At a guess--it's going to be like any other source. You'll want to evaluate them based on the health of the tanks, and take 'normal' precautions against introducing a parasite or disease to your tank.

Any China Town in a major metropolitan area is worth a look...Some great prices and they know how to keep fish...Many breed their own or import directly from overseas..Some great stock that shold not be discounted.

hmmmm....... I never woulda thought there would be aqua places in Chinatown. Close enough to drive or take the train for me..... might be worth a peek

I went to this one place in chinatown in boston, I was disgusted by it. It was called aquaworld. It was the only fish store/asian film store in chinatown that I am aware of.

whenever I'm lloking for something uncommon I'd go the one of the many chinese stores in the city and always seem to find something to suit my needs at a VERY LOW price. If there were here a chinese owned fish store I'd surely give it a try.
