Which of these is the better choice? Will they get along with Ottos? I have been researching them and most people seem to think that the siamese are better but then I found a site that says the chinese are better. Confusing stuff.

Chinese get up to 7 inches, and can get quite nasty. Siamese get close to the same size, but mine never seem interested in a fight. Chinese also stop eating algae fairly quickly.

I believe I have a chinese algae eater (he was about 4 inches). Not knowing I put him in my community tank and the next morning my othe algae eater and a guppy were dead. I then saw him swimming after some of my other fish. I bought another tank and put him in it with Tiger barbs. He has not bothered them at all, he hides a lot in this tank I hardly ever see him. This is my only experience with one though.

My SAE is quite annoying to my otos and my corys. It was fine when it was smaller but as it ages it seems to get more eratic.
