Cichlids in a 20g long?

Since you have a blue crayfish in there already i wouldnt add anything else. The crayfish will try to eat anyhting you add to the tank.
For a 20g there are some cichlids that will work but again none of them are suitable for a tank with a crayfish. For a 20g tank you need small cichlids and small cichlids will become foo dfor your crayfish. if you get rid of the crayfish them you have many options.
Some good cichlids for a 20g are shell dwellers. they are from Lake tang. and stay small and have lots of personality. They do very well in small tanks with hard water. Another choice would be(especially if you have softer water) dwarf cichlids like rams or apistos. They stay small(2-4") and are fairly peaceful.
SO if you want cichlids unfortunately they dont' mix with your crayfish, so you'll have to choose one or the other.

I would recommend a pair of Kribs. Very interesting little buggers. Easy to breed and keep. almost any water parameters will do, as long as you avoid the extremes, the water basically has to be wet. There is a site called thekrib.com, very helpful in all aspects of freshwater aquaria, and very in-depth info on kirbensis and rams.
I have one 10 gallon right now with a pleco, 3 gouramis, 2 full grown Zebras, 1 full grown Peacock, and 1 Masked Juli. As I have learned in my 15 years of aquarium keeping: nothing is ever too big for anything, and seldom is a tank ever too crowded. Fish are much more adaptable than we give them credit for sometimes.
You are keeping those fish in a 10 gallon?

I dont' aggree that these are best suited for a 20g. They are much too aggressive and should be in a larger tank.
