I have a fairly densely planted 36g corner tank with an assortment of little tetras (glowlights and neons) and cory cats (bronze and spotted). I've been working insane hours lately and haven't been home before my timers shut the lights off for the past two weeks. This morning when I went to feed the fish (lights on), I saw that I have had my first non-purchased addition to my bioload!!!!
The corys all hang out under leaves toward the back of the tank during the days -- and mostly on the one side -- when I looked under the leaves on the other side, here was this mini-cory -- probably about a 1/2-inch -- looking for breakfast!!! I'm so thrilled -- I intended to wait for a few more months of general experience before expanding my family -- but well, guess "family" planning doesn't always work out!!!
Anyway -- just wanted to share my news -- my daughter turns 7 tomorrow and will see the new fish for the first time tonight -- I cannot wait -- she's going to be SO excited!
