I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank with 6 fancy guppies in it. I was wondering if I can put some type of bottom feeder or something to make the bottom more lively. The tank has only been set up for about 2 weeks but is well into the cycle. I love the guppies but the tank needs some life on the bottom. Thanks.

DO NOT ADD ANY MORE FISH UNTIL YOUR CYCLE IS COMPLTE!!!!!!!

Please read the sticky on how to cycle. This process takes 4-6 weeks.

I agree with budrecki.

Once you're cycled you've got some options. Here is a recent thread on exactly this topic: Clean Up Crew Also try doing a forum search for some more ideas. :)

After the tank finishes cycleing, I would go with 2 corys and maybe some snails. If you go with live plants, you might get some snails for free.

yeah, i would just wait a few weeks and do a water test. THEN you could add in maybe a common pleco or whatever community-type bottom feeder you want.

common pleco in a 10 gallon? Are you crazy

Cories or Otos for your size tank would probably be best. They don't get very big.
