Hey everybody. My tank is about 2 months old and I'm noticing some mineral deposit on my artificial plants. (white flaky buildup -my water always leaves a little scale on things like the shower/sinks.) It's pretty significant on a few of them. How do I clean them? Can I take them out and soak them in vinegar or something like that?

Yeah, I'd soak them in vinegar. Just make sure you rinse them really well before you put them back in your tank.

nooooooooo don't buy cleaner when something like vinegar and a good ol' boiling will fix the problem:)

I use a 3% bleach solution with plants, just give them a quick dip and then let them soak in clean aged water for a bit until all of the bleach smell goes away.

No problems with that for me.
