Cleaning Glass

or just use an old t-shirt, with one part slightly dampened... give it a once over with the damp part, and buff it clean with the dry part. Works nicely on acrylic as well.

Use a razor blade for algae and mineral deposits. You can use water in a squirt bottle and wipe it away with a towel for finger prints and small water marks. It will take some scrubbing though.

I use a wet paper towel, then dry with another paper towel so it doesn't leave spots.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're cleaning the outside of the glass, could you not use a rag dampened with diluted household ammonia (the type without soaps, additives or fragrances)? Then you could buff with a dry rag for any streaks that may be left. Just thinking of ways to use the leftover ammonia from fishless cycling...it's supposed to be a good cleanser!

This is a fine way to clean the outside of a tank.
