I'm sure my BF knows the answer, but hey, it's one post closer to a million so why not ask here???

My laptop screen is dirty. I don't think that I should use glass cleaner, can someone recommend a good product for cleaning my screen? Thanks!

I don't think that you want to use glass cleaner, I've read that it can leave your screen looking cloudy.... I mix my own cleaner

1 part 70% isopropyl alcohol
1 part reverse osmosis-filtered water (or you can use distilled water)

mix in a sprayer bottle then spray onto a clean soft rag (like a t-shirt) and gently wipe your screen....make sure to spray onto the rag and not onto your screen as you don't want to risk the mixture dripping into your keyboard

The best method is a soft cloth (i.e. wash cloth, not a paper towel) soaked with warm water...no soap, no chemicals.

ok, no "home grown" methods...isopropyl has minerals, and "glass cleaner" is too harsh. I use http://www.klearscreen.com/
on my ipods, laptops, and we use it at work on our LCD displays and laptop inventory. very good stuff :)

the screen on a laptop is a LOT LOT LOT different than the "fancy coatings" on prescription glasses

Hey,get Mikey,yeah let's get Mikey...he won't do it, he hates doing everything...
Or use coldwater....he will lick anything.....

The real answer is== I also use a warm-wet soft cloth also, no soaps or cleaners...works great on windows also..no streaking or smudges...
