My betta tank has an oto and sometimes a ghost shrimp. I've found my betta eats the shrimp after a few weeks. I know cories like to school, so I'm reluctant to get a single cory for this tank. Are there any other cleanup fish that are tiny enough for the tank and will survive with my betta? I don't feed a lot, but inevitably some food always makes it to the substrate.

snails. I have trumpet snails in my 3g eclipse and they do a great job. That's too small of a tank for anything but dwarf cories, and even then it's tight.

My Betta doesn't bother regular pond snails, some got in by accident when I added plants. So far their population is limited as the algae growth is practically non-existent.

Anyway, my 3g Eclipse does fine with just a single Ghost Shrimp cleaning up after the Betta.
