Clear cave for fish? (lees ghost house)

Hi! I really like the concept of this ghost house for fish but I am wondering 1. is it mean to do this to them? because other fish would be able to see them while they think they are hidden. and 2, if it isnt mean, would this work for shrimp, kuhli loaches, rasboras, and/or honey gouramis (if they fit) I was struggling to find info on if these animals would use sonar or radar

That should work out for all the fish you mentioned, but, I am unsure on gouramies.
