Close to being done with cycle?

Sorry to be a pest but I just don't want to lose any fish. My levels today are:

ph 7.6
ammonia 0.50
Nitrite 0.25-0.50
Nitrate 5.0

I stopped using ph decreaser as recommended here and my ph levels went down on their own. It could be that I had some shells in my tank and I took them out about 10 days ago after reading that they raise the ph levels. I have not added anything to my tank and done anything other than water changes every other day. I have also cut back on feeding the fish to once a day.

Is the cycling process almost finished? This is week 6.

You could still have a few weeks left. Your ammonia will go down to zero before your nitrites will, and the rise and fall of nitrites takes longer than with ammonia. Just keep up with water changes to keep the levels safer for your fish. Once you've got 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and some measure of nitrates, you're done.

Just a note: my pH after a water change is 7.8, the same as my tap water, and two days later it will be at 7.4 and stay there until the next change. Have you tested your tap water?
