Hi,
my two percula clowns have been twitching, shaking and tilting a lot over the last few days. Is this behaviour still a battle for dominance or could they be ill. They have always battled and twitched after they had been hit by the other clown, but it just seems to be happening mostly all the time at the moment and they are twitching but not hitting each other as much. They are staying close together in the same area [this is not usual] and seem to be defending this area against the other fish.
I just did not want to ignore it in case it could be something else.
Thanks for any advice.

How long have you had them? It honestly sounds "normal" for clowns to me, but it would really depend on your water parameters if the fish are eating/fighting/stressed/diseased, etc.

Hi,
had them about 10months, they are eating fine, don't seem diseased [nothing visable] just their behaviour is more erratic than usual.

Maybe they're spawning!
