So I have had a mated pair of black saddleback clown fish for about a month now. When I put them in my tank they immediately tried to swim into my Condylactis and Sebae anemone. Now I know that these are not typically the hosting type of anemone for clown fish but they tried none the less. As a result of the stress caused by unsucessfully trying to host those anemone for about a week and a half they got ich. I've been treating with Herbtana and adding garlic powder drops to their food to boost their immune system. This seems to have been working well for the ich. Both fish look much better, that is until today, the female's left eye is very swollen and cloudy. Any idea what this could be? I attached a picture, sorry its not the best but my girlfriend has my other camera in her purse...

If you're sure the fish has not had any physical damage from a fight it could be Popeye. I have never come across it personally in a marine tank but I have had FW fish come down with it. It's a bacterial infection that the fish can fight off on it's own given optimal conditions but if it gets worse and or the fish stops eating you should definitely consider a hospital tank.

I'm almost positive it is some kind of secondary infection caused by "scratching" on the rock since I've seen her doing that. I'm setting up a hospital tomorrow and gonna see how BiFuran+ works. Any other advice or input would be most helpful

Update: I woke up this morning to my girlfriend freaking out. Apparently, she went to go take a look at 'Juliet', and she jumped right out of the tank and landed on her swollen eye on the ground bursting it. I immediately got the hospital up and running and placed her in it. Her eye is gone I think. So very sad. Poor Juliet, and poor Romeo, her mate. He's seems to be sulking, looking for her. I really hope she pulls through this. Keep your fingers crossed for me, my girlfriend ( who loves those two ) and of course Juliet

Hopefully it just drained the fluid from behind it. That's just disturbing. Sounds like a case of popeye to me no matter how it happened.

Well, thats an image i could have lived without. I hope Juliet makes it.

So I got home from work and checked on my Juliet ( Not doing well at all ) and have been doing research for the last 2 hours. It seems as though it is Pop Eye and it was caused by an injury. Now her other eye is swollen and her breathing is very lethargic. I have been reading alot about Epsom Salt treatment for swelling. Anyone know anything about this, how much per gallon, if it works, etc. ? I very seriously do not think she's gonna make it through the night but for future reference..

I have never used Epsom salts but I did see this on WWM. Maybe it can help. There are mulitple links and FAQs on that site you can find all sorts of help there. Hope she pulls though.

well as of 4:13 a.m. she was gone. I was sitting watching her and I saw the last breath. I could say that at that exact moment a piece of dust flew up into my eye and caused it to water, but I'm not gonna lie.
