Any possibility that I could keep clownfsih with a snowflake eel in a big enought tank? say a 55 gal?

There's an ongoing debate about this.

Snowflake moray eels belong in the genus Echidna, the pebble-tooth morays. These morays eat crustaceans, as opposed to the eels of the genus Gymnothorax and others, which eat primarily fish. Therefore, snowflakes generally won't eat fish, but there are some specimens that are exceptions to the rule. Also, sick or dying fish are much more likely to be eaten.

So, probably yes, but there is some risk involved.

Well, like I said, any fish might survive, it depends on the snowflake. As for things that will always be safe, the snowflake will avoid anything too big to eat or anything that has a defense mechanism (such as a lionfish).

Here's what I'd do in a 55:

1 snowflake moray
1 one dwarf lionfish
1 toby puffer (any kind)

And you could probably get away with another fish or your choosing.

Nope, and I can't see it happening in the near future. Many eels go on a long journey before mating, and that;s obviously hard to replicate in an aquarium. Also, the eels remain in the planktonic stage for up to a year!

OK thanks for the info, I was asking cos Im trying to set up an all tank bred aquarium, any idea if lions or puffers can be tank bred?
