Do they ever come out from hiding?

Do they eat anything other than algae?

It said on a website they eat mostly algae, He hasnt even moved from out from under his cave, just moves around his cage. Do they really eat just algae?

turn off aquarium lights and watch, they come out at night. if for some reason down the line you dont want it...I would be happy to add him to my pleco's

feed it some zuccini cut it in to disc about half a centometer boil for a min with garlic and let it cool plop in in the tank

I never see mine until I clean the tank on Sunday. That's it. I've never once seen him out during the day. He's such a tiny thing, but he's fat and happy, so I figure he's getting out and doing his thing at night! :)

Feeding for clown plecos should include some driftwood, as well as algae wafers and poached veggies.

Some are more shy than others. Some just need some time to get comfortable and adjusted. But yeah, mostly nocturnal. Check your tank after lights out, you might just see him active and wiggling.

they do need a protien source, but usually there is enough in veggie flakes and wafers. i see mine munching the red flakes sometimes but usually it settles on a green one.

i rarely see mine. got a nook under a log it likes. if it IS active, i usually feel lucky and watch a few minutes from afar. great fish, huh?

i think they are cool, I dont see my Raphiels a whole lot but when I see them it's special,

haha no i think im gunna keep him, hes awsome... The common pleco on the other hand, if I dont get my 90 gallon (for some reason) I have to get rid of him...
