clown plecos

I see mine occasionally on my glass (I don't have algae in that tank though) and he usually hangs out on my decorative anchor. I am assuming he's cleaning something when he is on it...but you never can tell.

I have both a rubberlip (Chaestoma sp.) and a clown pleco in one of my tanks. I rarely see the clown cleaning anything other than driftwood (which I know he's eating). In contrast, the rubberlip is a little algae cleaning machine.

Otos, bristlenoses, and rubberlips (not necessarily in that order) are my favorite algae eating plecos.

My son's clown has never once stuck to the glass. He hides on driftwood and eats flakes, bloodworms, etc. The rubberlip in my tank does appear to eat algae off the glass when he's not destroying my white ribbons.
