is it unusual for a clown fish to suck the tip of my anemone. i've had the clown pair (which i did myself- woohoo) for about 6 months and the nem only went in yesterday, but they love him!! they havent fed him yet thou..... but i was just wondering why he was behaving like this, is it hurting my nem? here is a pic of my 1 clown and nem.....i love it!! i thought it wudnt happen cos they are tank bred!

As the nem is new, i would imagine that the clowns are just checking out their new home. Hosting is never always guaranteed, especially so soon after introduction. Am really glad that they have taken to it and they will start to feed it in good time...

Picture looks just great by the way..

could u also tell me another way to feed him, i tried bits of shrimp, over his tenticles, near his mouth, he seems uninterested lol. any ideas?

and thanks for the reply, i turn off all the lights last night and i remembered (after having a tank for 7 months!!) that i have a led light from my tropical tank, so i stuck it to my luminaire and pointed it near the nem and he spead out HUGE, spose he liked the little bit of light (i was thinkin "moon like"), was it a good idea?

yes, providing its not too bright...all your after is a soft glow to the tank...

You will find that most reefers here have a moonlight kit installed as in my opinion, a reef should have one..as all we are trying to do is make the aquarium as natural and close to ocean life as possible...
