What psi do you set you regulator output to?
Approx.

I have the valve on the CO2 tank open 100% and the low end output on my regulator at about 18-20psi.

I just hooked up my CO2 cylinder and all the lines. I am going to wait till tomorrow to turn it on, (night time now). I remember reading somewhere that between 6-8psi is ideal?!

After fooling around with it, 10-15 does seem to work the best.

thanks!

The output pressure really depends on the regulator and you needle valve. The important thing to look at is your bubble counter.

I guess it would also depend on the depth of your tank?! You would need more psi to get deeper. I'm sure there's more than enough to do this though. Would be a neat experiment.

Interesting thought...can you get enough CO2 at 3-5 PSI to be worthwhile ? (that's how much I use to push the keg :) FYI )

I think a higher setting is going to be more stable across most regulators. Rex Grigg recommends 15psi (I think), I've moved a little closer to 20psi. Interesting - one of the ones you can buy as a complete setup has a fixed pressure of something like 40psi.

Again - it's the bubble count that tells you how much CO2 is going into the tank. Once you start out with maybe 1bps, measure KH and pH, use that to get CO2 ppm, make minor adjustments, and repeat.
