5 months, bioplankton. why u ask?

Because they often tend to do pretty poorly in aquariums and starve after a few months. They are very particular about the particle size of food that they eat. They mainly eat invertebrate larvae and just about all tanks don't have enough naturally. The best bet is to feed them something like DT's oyster eggs.

My lfs had coco worms on sale for $35. My wife talked me into one. I got it in Feb. and it seems to be doing ok. I've been feeding it dts phytoplankton and reefbugs. Tomorrow I will go and get dts oyster eggs (always looking for something to keep the inhabitants well-fed and happy).

i was talking about a flame scallop. with a coco worm, phyto is your best bet.

Decided to get two coco worms. The smaller one is about 8 inches and the other is about 13 inches. Also share some pics of my flame scallop and plants. Thanks for the advice.

Where can i get oyster eggs from?

You can get them at many LFSs but it is pretty expensive and not all carry it.
However, the picture of the one that you showed there is not a flame scallop, but a thorny oyster. They are a filter feeder that eats phytoplankton. DTs phytoplankton or phytofeast, or any other type of natural (preferably live) phytoplankton suppliment would be needed.

Yep - definately a thorny oyster not a flame scallop.

Should I place the coco worms in a different place are does it really matter. Do they like to be horizontal are vertical?
