Coil Denitrator

I have been reading about DIY plans for a coil denitrator. It looks like a good project and easy to build. My question is: If you have live rock and a mechanical, chemical & Bilogical filter (3 stage Power filter) a denitrator should not be necessary ? Am I correct in this assumption ? Thanks as always for the input.

I'd say you're correct. If you have a reasonable bioload and live rock, nitrate may not be zero, but will be just fine without a denitrator.
