Colored air pump?

Don't have one of those but I have seen them set up in a tank at a LFS. They selling for around $30 for the air pump and 1 light. I came close to buying as I liked the effect, but also prefer a more natural look.

wow ... Strangely cool effect

I am currently running green one for 10G and had blue one with Geyser kit for 36G. (You could find cheaper price on ebay.)

Bubble from this air pump is very tiny and very nice when light is off.
However, it makes your water cloudy when light is on. (Bubble is too small and spreading wider.)

Wiring is kinda tricky and ugly. Main unit is located inside the aquarium.
Traditional air pump just need single air tube to connect air stone across the aquarium side.
Now, one power wire and one air tube will be there for this unit instead of single air tube. (One empty end of air tube should be located to 1-2 inch higher than the water surface.)
You cannot drive 2 air stones with this unit.

In my case, green one is quite but blue one was very noisy and made 36G tank shaking.
(You have to attach this air pump unit tightly on the bottom of tank and locate it in the middle of tank to reduce noise and shaking.)

Not a really bad idea for the replacement of the single air stone setup in the middle of your fish tank. But, I do not recommend it for any other setup.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure I want to have to worry about the noise and whatnot...
