Community Fish?

My partner just bought a fish called a shadow knife, for the small tank I have... but... well, its an eel looking thing that can't see very well... and I have a feeling its trying to eat my poor rummy nose tetra. I had 4 tetras now i have 3. When I came in this morning I angrily, found a dead one hugging the filter intake, with its eyes and a good amount of the surrounding tissue missing.
I just want to get some opinions and confirm that it would be the shadow knife, if any one else knows anything about them.

Well that sucks for ur tetra. But could u give use a little more detail on the fish looks like color and a pic would help and what size tank you have it in ?
 
its a 5gal... apparently the guy that the fish was bought from had no clue what he was talking about... so not I got a fish which isn't suited for my tank. Plus we did a little more research over here... I think it might be the Chinese algae eater... sucking on my fish. Not sure...
 
Your CAE is going to grow to 6-7", do you have better description of the knife fish. Your tank is to small for the rummy nose tetras as well.
 
What all is in this tank? 5G is unfortunately too small for even a group of Rummies.
 
well I am sure the the tank is over crowded... there as a small spotted cory, the CAE, down to 3 rummy tetra's and the Black 'Ghost' Knife, sorry got wrong fish on the upper post.
Anyone have any suggestions?
