Hi everyone,

I have a 30 gal. and I am interested in adding 2 Pseudotropheus and 2 juliochromis transcriptus "Gombi" to my tank and I was wondering if these 2 different pairs would conflict with each other?

Gratefully,

Charlie

I can't see there being any major conflicts. I have kept Pseudotropheus and they are fine so long as they are provided with adequate hiding places and each fish is able to stake out its own territory. So be sure to have lots of caves etc. Good luck with the tank!

first off, what else is in there?

second.... i wouldn't bet on it being the best scenario. 30g is usually only good for 1 pair of cichlids has been my experience. or depending on the specific fish you might need multiple females if you expect them to breed. and then you add in the dither fish and whatever cleaners and you have a pretty full tank.

i'm not experienced with those particular types of fish, but i would imagine this might be the case.

i guess it depends on what you're looking for, YMMV.........
