Confused Regarding Progress With Cycling With Bio Spira

I would leave them in their containers and treat until they are disease free.

So when they are "disease free" all the gold is gone? Sorry, that may be a dumb question, but I don't want to put them through another round of meds without completely understanding whether all the gold disappears as soon as the Velvet is gone or maybe some gold stays for awhile even though the parasites are dead.

Thanks,

Hang on...checking on velvet now...

From what I can tell, yes, the velvet should not be seen, AND maintain the meds for the appropriate number of days to get the next batch that will be coming up from the cysts on the tank bottom. They should talk about this on your medication instructions.

Thanks for checking on the velvet for me! I will go ahead then and medicate them again this week in their half gallon containers. The instructions on the meds just say that the dose can be repeated if necessary but they didn't say whether or not to expect all gold to be gone.

I will also keep putting the Hikari Pellets in the cycling tanks to feed the Bio Spira until the ammonia and nitrites are 0.

Hopefully those two events will coincide so I can get the bettas into cycled tanks. They seemed much happier when they had more room to swim.

Thanks for all the help....it is great to have a place to go for answers!
