Convert saltwater to freshwater, can it be done safely?

What needs to be done to a tank that had been used for saltwater to convert it to freshwater?
I have a chance to get a tank that has been setup as saltwater and would like to know what I would need to do to this tank to make it a freshwater if at all possible.

It's very possible. Just has to be cleaned. Rinse it, scrub it using vinegar, and then rinse it well. Deed is done.

Thanks, it’s seems too easy, now all I need to do is find room for it.

I had a 55g saltwater. I dumped eveything out of it. Rinsed it real good, let it sit for a few days so it could dry up and filled it up. Been running as freshwater for months and doing fine.

best thing you can do with a sw tank. the tank is the easy part. the filter is a lot harder.
