ok, i have a pair of black con's in a 20gal long,
i have two pots in the tank for them.
the pots are turned facing the front of the tank, should i turn them so they have more of a place to hide from traffic?
would it help them to lay eggs?

Also when they do lay eggs, how small are they?
will i be able to see them? what should i look for?

here is a pic of the tank layout.

Turn the pots a quarter turn so they're sideways... That should help a little... Eggs will be about the size of a flake of sugar (maybe a little larger).

You may want to consider getting a larger tank for them as well... Convicts need around 30 gallons or so... I'm sure they'll do fine for a while though.

I do plan on upgrading tanks as they get bigger.
the 20g long has the same footprint and a 29 tall,
so i can still use the stand i built.

i'll turn the pots a little and see what happens.

thanks
