Convict chidlids male and female?

I bought 2 convicts being told ita a male and femal i would just like to know if the lady at the petshop was correct. As the one said to be male also has a bit or orange red colouration on its belly

You will know within the month. I kept cons just because they are so prolific. I'd feed the fry to my leaf fish and birchirs.

Yeah, it looks like a pair but males are slower to mature...so watch for female aggression toward him when he doesn't know what to do yet. Have lots of plants or other décor to break up sight lines...& plan for LOTS of fry, close to 100 after their first try. Be careful what you wish for, they can breed every 4 weeks or even less...
