looked like a male yesterday but now the orange is starting to show. i have a 3"+ male in this tank and she's about an inch. will have to move her before he gets amorous.

the danio snuck into the pic at the last second.

I got some convicts, but how do you get them so bueatiful. Your seem to be darkly colored. Sometimes I will think they are darkly colored, but sometimes they look pale.
 
when they are dark and pretty they are@not-stressed. but my bro got got 3 cons and they breed and they look dark and pretty.
 
Stress is a big player in coloration. They also tend to lose color when "sleeping."

I've also found that warmer waters tend to brighten them up as most fish are more content in warmer (80F+) than colder (74F-) environments. I have a barb that's supposed to be in 78F max water and my tanks at 84F, he seems happy and brightly colored.
