That is a cool fish, but they top out at just over 6" might be a little big for a 29" considering it is a predator. JMHO

But they have the activity level of a Betta. Water quality could be an issue, but space wouldn't be.

I have a rena xp2 and it is heavily planted... i cant see water quality with a single six inch fish being an issue.

The first two are cool fish, but I'm looking for a little more... spunk. The leaf fish is quite cool, and is a step in the right direction. I am also thinking about a hairy puffer. Keep the suggestions going guys! I would be willing to purchase online if needed so suggest anything you can think of

You are looking for "spunk" and the leaf fish is a step in the right direction? The leaf fish will do nothing but hang motionless in the tank..

I stick to my Dwarf Pike Cichlid. They are small, aggressive and active.
