I don't have a heater and my tank stays around 78, and dips to 74/76 on a cold day. I think a koi pond would be cool, but I don't think they'd live very long in Florida's weather
Thanks a lot for all your help guys, i won't worry about the temp as it currently is around 72 degrees. Ill just make sure i don't have any great temperature swings or anything like that.
Buy a pond pump and a mini fridage install the pump in the fridge and run the tank water threw it you can get mini fridges tye size of sho box at k-marts, target etc...
I keep my goldfish tank at 75*. This increases their activity making them even more enjoyable to watch. It also boosts their immune system and improves the nitrifying bacteria's efficiency better coping with the increase in ammonia production. So far my goldfish seem to be doing much better than when I had the tank at 68*.
