I hate a sea urchin in my 55 gal. and i was wondering if i purchased a coral beauty, would he nip at the urchin
i also have a scooter blenny (dragonet), 1 red firefish, 1 black/white damsel, and 1 cloudy damsel. 2-hermit crabs(1haloween leg, 1 blue leg) and 2 mexican turbo snails

any possible conflicts with listed livestock??? any tips for coral beautys??? All help will be greatly appreciated:newbie:

if you hate that sea urchin return it to the store for credit and use those credits to get the coral beauty:grinyes:, don't get a fish to eat it. i don't see any real problems with the stocking though

P.S. the coral beauty won't nip at the urchin

I'm sorry, that was supposed to say have, and I love the urchin, but no future conflicts anyone sees?

I can't see any problems with a coral beauty and an urchin.
Damsels can pose problems because they can be territorial/aggressive. Coral beauty's will hold their own and aren't really shy but I would be cautious mixing any fish with damsels.

Only get a coral beauty that is eating in the store. Get them to feed it and if it doesn't eat don't get it. Also make sure to check the eyes, sometimes they can get damaged in capture/transfer. I've seen a lot of dwarf angels with injured eyes in stores. Once settled coral beautys should eat just about anything, make sure they have some greens in their diet (nori is good).

ok, thanks. My plans are to get these fish in the future (damsels will soon be gone).
Lawnmower blenny, Sand-sifting blenny, and eventually a green mandarine. Any possible conflicts with current fish or future fish??

Worst case scenario, the angel may nip at some algae growing on the urchin's spines. That hardly affects the urchin, though.

not on the subject, but the mandarin and the scooter blenny wont last long unless you constantly buy them live food. one dragonet eats too much for a 55 to handle IMO
