I bought this light because I thought it had a cool sunrise/sunset setting. I guess it probably does once you program the timer for each of the three colors but not what I expected. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by setting the shades for each color and the timing for sunrise/sunset. Can anyone share their settings so that I have a starting place? I would be so grateful!

Set your blue lights to come on first. About an hour or two before the RGB's. Set the RGB's to come on 30 minutes to an hour before the whites. Set the whites on for your daylights and run them for your daytime. Turn off in the reverse order.

Blue and RGB have 30 minute ramp up and ramp down automatically. That creates your sunrise and sunset. That ramp up/ramp down begins with the time you select for on or off. I like the violet color for the RGB. But you can set it to whatever you want. You really can only see the color of the RGB's in the tank when the whites are off.

Yes. The blue channel is your moonlight and you can leave them on all the time.

However, Fish need sleep too and total darkness is better than high energy blue light shining in their eyes. I would recommend at least a couple hours of total darkness daily.

Yeah, I've had my Current Satellite planted + 48" LED for -2yrs or so. I pretty much never touch the remote. Endless choices with it, but I just keep it locked into a daylight with some red/purple mixed in and have it set on a timer for ~8hrs/day. The crypts, anubia and sword do real well with it.
