Coralife Super Skimmer

Hello All,
I just set up a Coralife Super Skimmer (65) and have started it. I wanted to find out some information from someone that might have one of these. I have the intake below the defuser box. Will this affect the skimming? I am also about 3 inches below the surface, I can't get it any higher. Any suggestions would be welcome. By the way, I am not having any problems with bubbles in the tank, I guess I am lucky at the moment.

I have the exact same skimmer and my skimmer has worked just fine. I wouldint suspect of any problems. These skimmers are by far the best you can buy for your moneys worth.

Any reccomendations or tricks that I can use?\
