correct lighting/feeding/etc for shrooms.

I've got the slowest growing tank in history.
If anyone can help me with the correct lighting/feeding/etc. needed to grow a proper softies tank!!!!

OK i've been running my marine tank with 2.5 w/gal with no softie growth.
but I calculated the lighting to include the actinic w/gal.
tank looks pretty, but no growth.

someone tell me the correct lighting configuration for a 65 gallon tank. white light only, or with both.

Well WPG doesnt really say anything because of the different types of lighting. WE would need to know what type of lighting you are running T-5 NO's, VHO's, PC's, T-5 HO's or MH's

Please provide more details about your set up, such as water parameters, fish, corals, inverts, etc.

How many mushrooms did you start off with, how long ago and how many do you have now?

In your other thread you mentioned you have a 65gal tank illuminated with "2.5 watts per gallon" of light.

What type of lighting do you have?

How are your non-mushroom lifeforms doing?

In very general terms mushrooms have low to moderate lighting requirements.

Agreed on the lighting aspect. Also, as far as feeding goes, it is largely unnecessary, as most mushrooms are almost entirely absorptive feeders in that they take in macromolecules directly from the water. Some will accept food, like mysid shrimp, but many (if not most) will not.
