Cory cats with a pair of Salvini's ??

I currently have a 55g community tank with 2 GBR's,9 Bloodfin tetras,7 Bleeding Heart tetras and 6 False Julii Cories.....

I am wanting to get a pair of Salvini cichids for the 55g and move everything else out ( take them to the LFS for store credit) but I was wondering if I could maybe keep the cories in with the Salvini's ?? I was told cories would do fine when I was thinking of getting some Firemouths but wasnt sure if Salvini's would bother them or not.

The salvinis are more aggressive and may harass the cories. Cories have no means of defending themselves properly other than the spines. FM's are different. They are more mellow but can eat tankmates that fit in their mouths and are not usually aggressive except when spawning.

Thanks Lupin... I think I will just either take them out with the others or maybe get a 20 long and put my rams and cories in it
