When I was at my lfs today I saw what I presumed at the time to be bronze cories. I am now almost certain that I have bought 2 emerald cories instead of 2 bronze. Will 2 emerald cories be ok in a 38 gallon with 2 bronze cories and 2 albino cories? I also have another question, while I was there I saw some other beautiful cories. I saw some black cories, skunk cories, and panda cories. There might have been more types but I forget. So my question is if I make one big school with all of these cory species in it do you think that they will be ok? The cories in my tank if I got all of them would look like this http://www.aqadvisor.com/AqAdvisor.php?AquTankName=&AquListBoxTank=Choose&AquTankLength=36&AquTankDepth=12&AquTankHeight=19&AquListBoxFilter=Choose&AquTextFilterRate=N/A+&AquListBoxFilter2=Choose&AquTextFilterRate2=N/A+&AquFilterString=&AquListBoxChooser=Skunk+Cory+(Corydoras+arcuatus)&AquTextBoxQuantity=2&FormSubmit=Add+>&AquTextBoxRemoveQuantity=&AlreadySelected=200911161252:2::,200912011161:2:0:,200909300034:2:0:,200909300005:2:0:,200909300155:2::&FilterMode=Display+all+species&AqTempUnit=F&AqVolUnit=gUS&AqLengthUnit=inch&AqSortType=cname&FilterQuantity=2&AqJuvMode=&AqSpeciesWindowSize=short&AqSearchMode=simple

IMO, with too many cory types it would look "Mish-mashed". I would choose 1-2 types and get either 4-6 one each, or 6-8 of that one.

If it was me, I would just go with one type of cory.

Well believe it or not, I love the mish-mashed look. It goes back to my early childhood. When I was a young child I had one dream. That dream was to own one of every type of fish that is on the planet. As the years went by, I started to realize that it would never come true. I don't try to collect every fish but I still like to have a big variety of fish.

Cories need a group of 6+ of their own species, imo.

Is the "Emerald Cory" a Cory or a Brochis? They are both called Emerald Corys in the market and they are two different fishes totally (different species).

    Can you attach a pic?
