Hi all!
He're my tank:

Along with tetras, I am planning on one fairly large (10-12) school of some sort of dwarf cory.

From what I read, the Habrosus most behave just like other corys, only smaller, while the Hastatus and Pygmaeus both swim mid-level a good deal.
I've also read that Pygmaeus are much more shy than either of the other two.

I'm looking for any opinions you have. Do you have any? What do you think of them? Which would you recommend? Etc.

Thank you!

My pygmaeus are definitely shy. They stay mostly on the bottom where it's heavily planted.

What is your planned stock?

Any of those cories will be quite shy when kept in insufficient numbers. You would be amazed at the difference in their behavior when kept in a good amount (20 or more). They are small and peaceful, but really exhibit the best behavior (and bravery) in large numbers.

I have kept habrosus and pygmaeus extensively. They have very different personalities. IME, the pygmaeus stay lower and are a little more elusive/shy. The habrosus are more outgoing, often habiting the midwater.

All three of these catfish do great with a conspecific tetra. When you have this, they will readily school with them, often midwater which is a very neat sight to see.

Of the three, habrosus are my favorite based on appearance.

Habrosus FTW!! Mine mostly stay on the bottom, but will roam the walls and sometimes individually float around mid-water, but infrequently. In bigger numbers they may be confident enough to school mid-water... but I don't think I should put more in my little 10g!

cute little buggers!

Habrosus! I have never kept any of them but I am trying to get habrosus. :) Everything I have read says they are the most out going, mid level swimmers and IMO the cutest!!

i like hastatus from looks but they are also incredibly hard to find as i know jinx has found out. most of the time when an importer orders "hastatus" from their lists they get habrosus which are also great looking cories and my second favorite but they arent very far behind habrosus in the looks department imo.
