Can corries be kept with cichilds?

what range of pH can corries tolerate? What is the high range they can be comfortable in?

what kind of cichlid are you thinking? I know that alot of the cichlids would make a light snack out of a cory!!!

Yes they can, but as Holly9937 has already stated, they would need to be small enough to not eat the cories. :)

It really will depend on the species of cichlid. I removed my cories from the tank with my brichardi--the brichardi took to chasing the cories away from the bottom, resulting in 2 cories constantly swimming in the top corners of the tank--very stressful for them, though the brichardi never injured the cories physically.

Will any of the following be able to share an aquarium with corydoras?

Laetacara dorsiger (Red-breasted Flag Cichlid)
Cleithracara maronii ( Keyhole Cichlid Profile)
Anomalochromis thomasi (African Butterfly Cichlid)
Pelvicachromis pulcher (Kribensis)

well, I just put four panda cories in with keyhole cichlids today. I did a lot of research and the overwhelming response was that these cichlids will not bother the cories... i have my fingers crossed just the same!

I completely understand. The happy-go-lucky, docile attitude of corydoras really makes you worry when any potentially rough fish are introduced.

This is a good point.
Size difference does matter.
I used to have my yellow labs with peppers, bandits with very little problems, amazingly...in a 10G!
The yellow labs were smaller though.

Kribs are a big maybe....i'm not familiar with the other cichlids you have listed.
i have 2 julii cories in with a pair of breeding Kribs and the kribs leave the cories alone as long as the cories dont try and swim into the kribs' cave. the cories learned the first day not to swim into the cave. one tried to and the male krib chased him out.
i have also heard of kribs killing any and all bottom dwellers when they are protecting their fry though. they might see the bottom dwellers as a threat to their babies. so far, mine havent attacked or hurt the cories in any way.
