"Cotton Wool" disease & Firemouths.

Have 1 male and 2 females in a 29 gal. hoping they'll hook up and breed. The larger of the 2 females has scared the male so that he runs from her and she'll chase him about at times. She also has beat up the other female and now she has "Cotton Wool" on her lower fins and is sluggish to get about. I don't have a hospital tank but I put her into a "breeding" basket in the 29. Can I add aquarium salt to the tank to treat the cotton wool without affecting the other 2?
I'm gonna pull the larger female and take her back and trade for another, smaller female when I can or either put her in my 75 and put my Bala shark into the 29. Will that work out? The Bala in the 29 with a couple of Firemouths?
So the 2 questions.
1) The aquarium salt in 29
2) Firemouth / Bala swap

how big is ther bala shark cause i know they can get big cant remember off hand how big but i think like 12"-14" and in a 29g they have no room to swim around, i had 1 in a 20g by himself but he jumped out at only like 4" so i would leave the bala in ur big tank.

but u can put salt in the 29g and it will be fine, just dont put too much. and if u put the firemouth in the 75g she will eat/terrorize everything.
