I've heard of both methods being used and I'm curious if one is preferred over the other.

My original intention was to use cotton thread but I've read several times that it might dissolve before the moss firmly attach themselves. The last thing I want to have to do is pull everything out a second time to reattach the moss that I thought was attached in the first place :shakehead:

I could use the fishing line, but would I have to remove it at some point? Again, don't want to start disturbing things after it's all settled in.

Some people even used super glue... but best to research if you go this route.

I have used sewing thread to attach my pelia to driftwood and its still on for a few years.

I like to use black cotton thread bcause by the time the cotton deteriorates to the point of breaking, the moss will have already gotten a firm hold to the wood or rock. On larger plants lke Anubias or Java Fern, I like to use rubber bands for the same reason as the cotton thread.

Superglue and have for years no worries about plants floating away or rescaping later....
