I have a 150 gallon tank with African cichlids. I seen an electric blue crayfish that looked really cool. I was wondering if I can get somethings like that in my tank and how would they do?

the cray would most likely attack the fish when its big enough, and the cichlids may try to eat the cray if its little and when it molts.
saying all that 150g is a biggie so you could have quite a few hiding places for the cray it might just work out for you. good luck

With enough hiding spots it may work, but I wouldn't be surprised if you had a casualty on either side.

Don't believe crays are ever gonna work in a fish tank.... Ok for a while but they just can't resist a fishie dinner. After a while been it will be murder and mayhem, done this one.... Either way you will end up with dead fish or dead cray best to keep them apart.....

Depends how big the Africans are really.

I kept a crayfish through about 4 moults in a 46G tank - brought the cray back, which was still in good health then - because I considered it was getting too much stick from the cichlids and I basically never saw it except at night; it was surviving but not thriving.

In a big enough tank, together with plenty of rockwork, I think you can give it a shot and have a good prospect of success. The crayfish will definitely try and go after anything smaller than 3 inches, but I found that mine, which were all 3 inches or more, were well able to escape him, and in fact beat him up, which is why I brought him back.

I think in a bigger tank there would have been much less interaction between them. If memory serves there is a species of freshwater crab native to Lake Malawi, so its not that crazy a mix at all.

Possibly but from experience my cray even when he was only around 3 inches took on a healthy 9 inch plec ..... harassed him constantly grabbing him by the tail and almost swinging him. In the end the plec died .....

I personally just wouldn't .......

mine aswell at about 2-3" cept on going for my 6" plec at the time. now hes a health 10" as there in a tank with guppies, the only fish i can keep with the crays. now and then i see a sushie snack but not to often. they even sleep in the same caves together with no problems.

I wouldn't have thought it Bullit.... Guppies..... Do you loose many....? I have managed to source a momma cray so I am thinking of introducing her to my boy.....
