I would really like to make the 65 a planted tank, but I think the crayfish would eat the plants. Are there any plants that they won't eat???? If i keep them fed good enough will they not get hungry and eat real plants?

crayfish will tear up your plants even of they dont eat them. they will do this to make cover on the surface of the water to hide from the likes of birds, even if you dont have them lol

It depends on the type of crayfish.
Some, like the dwarf 'cajun' crayfish, don't do anything to plants but climb them.

The larger ones rip them to shreds and/or eat them.

Depends on the species. Dwarves are usually good in planted tanks, they only nibble here and there. They use the plants more as cover than anything else. Marmorkrebs work well in mine, though they do like moving my moss balls around to create hides for themselves.

Species that have more carnivorous tendencies will likely ignore the plants as a food source, but may move, uproot or damage them. And species that like to burrow, dig, etc will have your plants floating at the surface in no time.

I think it all depends on how you set it up I have a p. clarkii and another un Ided cray in this tank at this point theres has been a little damage but not a lot to the plants. This is a 55 by the way setup as a river tank.
