created new calculator, help me check it out.

Looks good.

You might want to check your formula for inches to gal US. I ran a test using the measurements of 72" Long, 13" Wide and 18" high and your calculator gave me a result of 52 gal US. I run the same measurements thru another calculator and I get a result about 20 gal larger than yours.

You might want to include a volume to volume conversion from one system to another.

The scenario I see most often is a metric person posting "I have a 240l…"-- many of us would like to see that in gallons. I usually convert it to US gallons (* .264) and will post it for the rest of the reading audience as US gallons, although other folks may want to see it as Imperial gallons.

Its one of the reasons its good for folks to fill in the location part of their profiles, so the rest of us can try to catch our assumptions.

I just verified the measurements and I got 33 gal. Are you sure the measurement is 12" wide and not 13"? That extra inch adds a few gal to the capacity.

I get 36 gal if its 13" wide vs 12". Also note that when a tank is spec'ed at 38 gal it does not have to be exact. It is usually more or less close.
