Creative alternatives to a drip loop?

The cords from my heater and powerhead aren't long enough to create a "drip loop" between the tank and the floor power strip.

I realized this might be a problem when I accidentally overfilled my tank the other day and water traveled down each cord to the outlet.

I don't think it would be wise to run a bunch of extension cords to create loops.

Anyone have any creative ideas to block the drip?

Thanks!

Tie a small piece of cloth to the cord.

An easy fix for sure....you can even attach it to the back of the stand, inside or out, and not have a wall repair to do if you ever move the set up.

My power strip is mounted half way up my stand so my cord goes down then back up to the wall outlet so there's no chance of a drip reaching it. Its the best way I've found and a power strip is cheap

Duct tape the strip high enough up on the wall that the cords form a u-shape hanging down, and place a bowl under the u to catch the water.
