Like it sometimes happens, crypts melt! And mine are melting:thumbdown:

I ordered and received ordered from Planted Aquariums Central! I went cryptocoryne crazy!
I ordered:
1-cryptocoryne undulata
1-cryptocoryne wendtii green
1-cryptocoryne wendtii red

Should I just keep on removing the dying leaves or remove so of the leaves to the substrate?

I just remove mushy leaves, they might not all melt on all crypt species. It's often the older leaves that don't adjust to new tank conditions but I've had some species lose a leaf or 2 almost every water change. Wendtii are more sturdy IME. I don't remember undulata although I'm pretty sure I've had it at least once. Even if you should lose all the leaves as long as the roots are healthy they should recover, sometimes slowly, but be patient, crypts are wonderful!

Thank you, fishorama! Crypts are wonderful! Before this purchase I had 1 wendtii green and 1 wendtii bronze (absolutely loved them)!

I agree, just be patient, crypts will grow back, for some reason they "must" melt to adjust to "New Water".

Thank you. I will have patience.

Patty, I'm thinking you need to skip the crypts! LOL. There's lots of other options out there.

Haven't you had bad luck with them several times before?

Freshy, can't give up out skip the crypts!
I have to established crypt plants that magically appeared after I neglected my tank in the middle of last year. Where they grew I left them:D

Going to give them a month or so before I add anymore fish in the tank

Crypts like root tabs

I placed a root tab near each of my crypt plant. Also, placed root tabs near each of the Echinodorus Parviflorus tropica sword plants.

So hopefully they don't turn completely to mush.
