G'day,
I bought a baby cuckoo catfish a couple of days ago to go in my 380L (100gal) community tank. He seems to pretty much constantly swim laps of the tank, without stopping, at nearly full speed. He isn't getting chased by anyone else, what else could be causing this weird behaviour? Many sites have listed its pH range as 7-8.5 etc, but my tank is around 6.5-6.8. Could this be causing it?

Any help appreciated, worried about the little fella'

no, don't worry, they're just active fish, aussie man!

OK, thanks Alaskan man! If you are correct, he really is active... he stops every now and then to eat, but otherwise he's doing laps constantly... I was thinking of timing him and getting some mates around to place some bets on his lap times.

My pictus cats NEVER sit still, must be very similar. The constantly move regadless of tank size or tank mates.
